Leo Depuydt (“How to Date a Pharaoh”) is an associate professor of Egyptology at Brown University. He is the author of Civil Calendar and Lunar Calendar in Ancient Egypt (1997) and numerous scholarly articles on ancient Egyptian manuscripts, writing, languages, science and chronology.
