Jas’ Elsner
Jas´ Elsner is the Humfry Payne Senior Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and visiting professor of art history at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on Roman art in the late antique period—especially the art of the religious cults of the Roman Empire, including Judaism and Christianity. His most recent book is Roman Eyes: Visuality and Subjectivity in Art and Text (Princeton, 2007).
