Peter J. Schertz is the Jack and Mary Ann Frable Curator of Ancient Art at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. He is a specialist in Roman sculpture and the urban fabric of ancient Rome and coeditor of Caligula 3D: Man, Myth, and Emperor (Brill, forthcoming).
