
Ronald F. Youngblood (“Fallen Star”) teaches Old Testament and Hebrew at Bethel Theological Seminary in San Diego, California. Besides writing for both scholarly journals and popular magazines such as Christianity Today, Youngblood has served as a translator and editor for the New International Version of the Old Testament. His article “Counting the Ten Commandments” appeared in the December 1994 issue of BR.

John G. Gager (“Paul’s Contradictions”) teaches religion at Princeton University and has served on the texts and translations editorial committee for the Society of Biblical Literature’s Early Christian Literature series. He was an area supervisor with the Joint Archaeological Expedition to Khirbet Shema. Gager’s recent book, Curse Tablets and Binding Spells from the Ancient World, was published by Oxford University Press in 1992.
