Mikeal Parsons (“Who Wrote the Gospel of Luke?”) is associate professor of religion at Baylor University and coeditor of Rethinking the Unity of Luke-Acts (Fortress, 1993). Two other projects, a commentary on Luke and a grammatical commentary on Acts, are in progress, along with a projected three-volume work entitled Illuminating Luke.

Marsha White (“Searching for Saul”) is a visiting lecturer in Judaic Studies at Brown University. She recently contributed several essays to the Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible (Eerdmans, 2000) and is the author of “The History of Saul’s Rise,” in “A Wise and Discerning Mind”: Essays in Honor of Burke O. Long (Brown Univ. Press, 2000).

Sara Lipton (“The Un-Moralized Bible”) teaches history at the State University of New York, Stony Brook. She is the author of Images of Intolerance: The Representation of Jews and Judaism in the Bible moralisée (Univ. of California Press, 1999), which was named a finalist for the Koret Foundation/National Foundation for Jewish Culture History Book Prize. Lipton is currently working on a study of anti-heretical polemic and the Albigensian Crusade.
