Joseph C. Hough, Jr. (“Ways of Knowing God”) is president and William E. Dodge Professor of Social of Social Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York. He is the editor of several books including Beyond Clericalism (Scholars Press, 1988) and Theology and the University (State University of New York Press, 1991).

The codiscoverer of a new ancient gospel, Charles W. Hedrick (“The 34 Gospels”) is a Distinguished Professor at Southwest Missouri State University, where he has taught for more than 20 years. He is the author, with Paul Mirecki, of The Gospel of the Savior—A New Ancient Gospel (Polebridge, 1999). A member of the Jesus Seminar, Hedrick recently served as a consultant for a multimedia project at the American Bible Society.

Michael Carasik (“Can God Read Minds?”) has a Ph.D. in Bible and the Ancient Near East from Brandeis University. He teaches Biblical Hebrew at the University of Pennsylvania and leads a Torah discussion on Saturday mornings at the Gershman Y Congregation in Center City Philadelphia. He is working on an English-language version of the traditional Jewish Bible commentaries for the Jewish Publication Society.
