Professor of Old Testament at Denver Seminary, Richard S. Hess (“Not Just a Dirty Book”) has just published a commentary and translation of the Song of Songs in the Baker Commentary series (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Academic, 2005).

Leonard J. Greenspoon (“What America Believes”), author of BR’s popular Bible in the News column, holds the Philip M. and Ethel Klutznick Chair in Jewish Civilization at Creighton University, in Omaha. He wrote Max Leopold Margolis: A Scholar’s Scholar (Atlanta: Scholars, 1987) and has recently edited several collections of essays on contemporary approaches to the Bible.
