Hermon to the northern Negev; (3) Iudaea • Palaestina: South, from the northern Negev to Eilat; (4) Synagogues in Eretz Israel in the Roman and Byzantine Periods, synagogues, Jewish cemeteries and the seats of the Sanhedrin and the Patriarchs; (5) Churches in Byzantine Palestine, the remains of churches and monasteries, the patriarchal see (Jerusalem), metropolitan sees and episcopal sees.
