The Yigael Yadin Professor of Archaeology at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Amnon Ben-Tor (“Excavating Hazor”) has been excavating at Hazor since 1990. He is the author of The Archaeology of Ancient Israel (1992).

Coauthor Maria Teresa Rubiato (“Excavating Hazor”), the head of the Complutense University team excavating at Hazor, is a professor of Biblical archaeology at Complutense, in Madrid.

P. Kyle McCarter, Jr. (“Three New Arrowheads”), is the William F. Albright Professor of Biblical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. A member of BAR’s editorial advisory board, he wrote the commentaries on 1-2 Samuel in the Anchor Bible series and Ancient Inscriptions: Voices from the Biblical World (Biblical Archaeology Society, 1996).
