Larry G. Herr and Douglas R. Clark (“Excavating the Tribe of Reuben”) are codirectors of the dig at ‘Umayri, Jordan. Herr is professor of religious studies at Canadian University College and associate editor of the Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research. Clark is professor of Old Testament and archaeology at Walla Walla College.

Lucille A. Roussin (“Helios in the Synagogue”) holds a Ph.D. in art history and archaeology from Columbia University and serves as the mosaic specialist on the University of South Florida Excavation at Sepphoris. She is also a practicing attorney in New York City.
