Yosef Porath (“Vegas on the Med,”) is director of the Israel Antiquities Authority’s excavations at Caesarea. He is preparing three final reports on the site.

Kenneth G. Holum (“Building Power,”) has dug at Caesarea for 20 seasons. He is a professor in the history department at the University of Maryland and the director of the Combined Caesarea Expeditions. Holum is co-author of King Herod’s Dream (Norton, 1988) and Greek and Latin Inscriptions of Caesarea Maritima (ASOR, 2000).

Ann Byle (“Update) is a freelance writer for the Grand Rapids Press and for magazines around the country.
