Ehud Netzer (“A New Reconstruction of Paul’s Prison”) is professor emeritus at the Hebrew University’s Institute of Archaeology. An authority on the architecture of Herod the Great, he has excavated at sites throughout Israel and Jordan—including Jericho, Herodium and Masada, where he worked with the late Yigael Yadin.

Nadav Na’aman(“The Trowel vs. the Text”) is professor of Jewish history at Tel Aviv University and author, with Yuval Goren and Israel Finkelstein, of Inscribed in Clay: Provenance Study of the Amarna Tablets and Other Ancient Near Eastern Texts (Tel Aviv University, 2004).

Tallay Ornan (“Twins—A Dangerous Pregnancy”) is on the staff of the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research includes Ancient Near Eastern art and iconography, and her most recent book, The Triumph of the Symbol: Pictorial Representation of Deities in Mesopotamia and the Biblical Image Ban, was published in 2005.
