The Temple Mount Sifting Project is carried out under the academic auspices of the Martin (Szusz) Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology at Bar-Ilan University. The initial funds were provided by the Heritage Foundation of Abraham and Frieda Wiener. Since 2005 the project has been funded by private donors through the Ir-David Foundation.
