“The Wise Woman of Abel Beth Maacah” Nava Panitz-Cohen is Co-Director of the Tel Abel Beth Maacah Excavations. She is a Researcher and Instructor at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Naama Yahalom-Mack is Co-Director of the Tel Abel Beth Maacah Excavations and a Lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

“Reimagining Herod’s Royal Portico”: Orit Peleg-Barkat is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University. She specializes in Hellenistic and Roman art and architecture of the southern Levant and currently runs two archaeological excavations. This BAR article is based on her recent book Herodian Architectural Decoration and King Herod’s Royal Portico.
