b in the city of our God, His holy mountain.

2. a Beautiful in its height, it is a joy to all the earth,

3. a God through its bastions

b has become known as a stronghold.

1. a O Lord, our master,

b how majestic [is] Your name in all the earth.

2. a You, whose splendor was told³ over the heavens,

Happy is the man

1. a Who has walked not in the council of the wicked,

b nor stood in the way of sinners,

c nor sat in the seat of fools.

2. a Rather, in the Lord’s teaching [is] his delight,

b In his teaching he meditates day and night.

3. a He shall be like a tree planted by streams of water,

b that gives its fruit in season,
