Francis Deblauwe (“Plundering the Past”) is an independent scholar living in Kansas City, Missouri. He has excavated at numerous Middle Eastern sites, and he currently maintains an informative Web site devoted to the impact of the war on Iraq’s archaeological and historical remains.

University of Michigan research scholar J. Harold Ellens (“The Destruction of the Great Library at Alexandria”) is a frequent contributor to Archaeology Odyssey and a member of the magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board. His interest in ancient scholarship, particularly the great university-like complex at Alexandria, led to his article “The Ancient Library of Alexandria: The West’s Most Important Repository of Learning,” BR 13:01.

Jeremy Geltzer (“Excavating Hollywood”) has written and produced documentary segments at Turner Classic Movies and developed the TCM Web site (turnerclassicmovies.com).
