Chaim Seiden (“Jonah”), a graduate of City University of New York and Columbia University, now lives in Israel, where he has served as an advisor to the Israeli government.

The author of more than 30 novels, plays and profiles of biblical figures, Elie Wiesel (“The Israelites”) received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.

A professor of New Testament and intertestamental literature, Jerome Murphy-O’Connor (“Fishers”) has taught at the École Biblique, in Jerusalem, for 30 years. Murphy-O’Connor won BR’s biannual best article award for his February 1996 contribution, “Why Jesus Went Back to Galilee.”

Sidnie White Crawford (“Fluid Bible”) is an associate professor and chair of the department of classics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. A prominent authority on the Dead Sea Scrolls, she also wrote “Has Every Book of the Bible Been Found Among the Dead Sea Scrolls?” BR 12:05.
