Strata: Standing Stones Really Ubiquitous

You may have noticed the subheading to the article in this issue about standing stones, which says that they are ubiquitous (“Mysterious Standing Stones”). Indeed, they are. In the rock garden right in front of our building are—you guessed it—standing stones! Two of them stand side by side, placed there when the garden was designed as a kind of Biblical recapitulation. So far, however, there have been no reports of any cultic lustrations performed in connection with our standing stones.
