
Victor Hurowitz (“Solomon’s Temple in Context”) is professor of Bible, Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, in Beer-Sheva, Israel. He has published widely on Assyriology and Mesopotamian religion, including the book I Have Built You an Exalted House (Sheffield, 1992), and is currently pursuing research into the design and symbolism of temples.

Stephen J. Patterson (“The Oxyrhynchus Papyri”) is Geo. H. Atkins Professor of Religious and Ethical Studies at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Patterson is a former contributing editor of Bible Review and the author of numerous books, including Beyond the Passion: Rethinking the Death and Life of Jesus (Fortress Press, 2004). His research focuses on the historical Jesus, Christian origins, and the Gospel of Thomas.
