Geza Vermes
Geza Vermes (d. 2013), a Dead Sea Scrolls authority and historical Jesus scholar, was a Professor Emeritus of Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford in England. His most famous books are Jesus the Jew (Fortress, 1981) and The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English (Penguin, 1962).
