Dan Urman

Dan Urman (d. 2004) was a Professor in Ben-Gurion University’s Department of Jewish History and of Bible, Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies. Urman directed excavations at Tell Nessana between 1987 and 1995. He was a specialist in the archaeology of the Golan region leading dozens of excavations as a team leader of the Association for Archaeological Survey of Israel and as a staff office in the Israeli army in charge of archaeological affairs of the Golan.
