Biblical Archaeology Review is the flagship publication of the Biblical Archaeology Society. For more than 40 years it has been making the world of archaeology in the lands of the Bible come alive for the interested layperson. Full of vivid images and articles written by leading scholars, this is a must read for anyone interested in the archaeology of the ancient Near East.
The origin of this magnificent atlas lies in a pocket-size, softcover book first published in Hebrew in 1970. Since then, it has been translated and updated several times (see Dan Cole’s review in BAR, Books in Brief, BAR 10:03). The present work first appeared in this large format in Hebrew in 1989 as Atlas Karta ha-gadol le-toldor Yerushalayim.
