Although the exact date for The Epistle of Barnabas is impossible to determine, Bacchiocchi seems to have allowed his thesis to influence his dating of this document. 135 A.D. is a very late date. Cyril C. Richardson, for example, dates his epistle at 100–130 A.D. in Early Christian Fathers (New York Macmillan, 1970), p. 162.
