Footnote 2 - Order of Commandments Six, Seven and Eight
The Nash Papyrus, dated to the second century B.C.E., is a 24-line Hebrew text containing the Ten Commandments and part of the Shema prayer (Deuteronomy 6:4–5). Of unknown provenance, the papyrus was purchased from an Egyptian antiquities dealer in 1903 by W. L. Nash, for whom it is named.
