For example, “more than four decades” have passed since 1930 (p. 23; compare p. 26) and “more than a quarter century” since 1948 (p. 95); Landsberger (who died in 1968) is still alive on p. 56; and the Abu Salabikh tablets (excavated in 1963 and 1965) were dug “more than a decade ago” (p. 101).

Studies in Literature from the Ancient Near East … Dedicated to Samuel Noah Kramer (American Oriental Series 65, 1984; also published as Journal of the American Oriental Society 103/1, 1983). The first Kramer Anniversary Volume appeared in 1976 as Alter Orient und Altes Testament 25. Both volumes are valuable compendia of and about cuneiform literary texts, especially in Sumerian.
