Footnote 1 - Introducing ... the BAR

Incidentally, we pay our authors. We have to pay the man who prints the magazine, the secretary who types the manuscript, the mailing outfit that labels and mails the magazine, and the post office that gets it to you. Why should we then fail to pay for the most important and indispensable contribution to the magazine—the authors of our articles. So although it is only a modest amount, we do pay for articles—as a matter of principle.
