The description corresponds with the British Museum sale catalogue, “The Schapira [sic] Manuscripts, no. 302, Deuteronomy in Hebrew, 7 numbered and 8 unnumbered fragments, written on leather.” A copy of the latter description appears in Harry Rabinowicz, “The Shapira Manuscript Mystery,” The Jewish Chronicle, March 13, 1964, p. 9.
